DAVID BROWDER, PT, DPT, OCS (emeritus) is a founding partner of Confluent Health and serves as Vice President of Clinical Operations, overseeing approximately 100 outpatient physical therapy clinics across Texas, Arizona, and Louisiana. Prior to this role, he successfully led Texas Physical Therapy Specialists (TexPTS) as Chief Executive Officer from 2018 to 2024, where he strategically expanded the organization’s footprint and enhanced clinical outcomes across the state. He also directs Confluent Health’s Manager’s Course, an executive MBA-style program that develops healthcare leaders over a rigorous 7-month curriculum.
A distinguished graduate of the United States Air Force Academy, Dr. Browder served as a physical therapist in the Air Force from 1999 to 2008 after earning his Masters of Physical Therapy from the prestigious Army-Baylor Physical Therapy program. His exemplary military service was recognized with a Meritorious Service Medal. During this time, he further enhanced his expertise by completing a transitional Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT), an additional master’s degree, and a fellowship in manual therapy.
Dr. Browder’s contributions to the physical therapy profession have earned him notable recognition, including the JOSPT George J. Davies—James A. Gould Excellence in Clinical Inquiry Award and the Texas Physical Therapy Association’s Warren C. Smyth Outstanding Service Award. He authored a highly successful Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS) Prep course that generated over $2.5 million in sales, helping numerous physical therapists achieve board certification. Dr. Browder is a graduate and former program director of Evidence in Motion’s Executive Program in Private Practice Management and holds a graduate certificate in executive coaching from the Jindal School of Management at the University of Texas at Dallas.
