Ben was born in Shawnee, Oklahoma. He attended Shawnee High School where he was a basketball player and All-State soccer player. He went on to graduate from Oklahoma Baptist University in 2012 with a major in Pre-Allied Health and a minor in Cross-Cultural Ministry. He earned his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Arcadia University in January of 2015.
During physical therapy school, Ben completed clinical rotations in Pennsylvania with Neurologic, Orthopedic, and Vestibular clinics. He has been an active member of the APTA since 2012 and is a member of the Orthopedic section. He completed an Orthopedic Residency in 2016 to advance his manual therapy and clinical skills. He became board certified in vestibular and concussion rehabilitation in 2018 and orthopedic physical therapy in 2019.
In May 2017, Ben returned home to OKC after living overseas in Armenia for 9 months. While there he helped to provide pro-bono physical therapy, trained local physical therapists and studied the Armenian language.
Ben enjoys spending his free time at the lake and in the mountains, being with friends, running with his dog, playing sports, and traveling internationally.
