APTQI Shines a Light on “Pain, Misunderstood” in New Feature

We’re proud to share that our groundbreaking documentary Pain, Misunderstood was recently featured by the Alliance for Physical Therapy Quality and Innovation (APTQI) in a new blog post highlighting the film’s role in reshaping the conversation around chronic pain.

The APTQI feature explores how Pain, Misunderstood brings together clinicians, patients, and researchers to demystify what pain is—and isn’t. Through powerful storytelling and evidence-based insights, the film challenges outdated pain management models while spotlighting physical therapy’s critical role in addressing America’s pain crisis.

We’re grateful for APTQI’s recognition and proud to stand alongside organizations pushing for better, more person-centered care. The feature also reinforces the importance of continued advocacy for PT-first care as a safer, smarter path for those living with chronic pain.
