A North Dakota native, Joel joined the Foothills Sports Medicine team in 2016 after earning his Doctorate from the University of North Dakota. He is a member of an elite tier of providers, having earned his Board-Certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS) credential—a distinction held by only 7% of physical therapists nationwide.
As a lifelong learner and dedicated mentor, Joel is committed to elevating the profession by training the next generation of specialists. He blends clinical expertise with a passion for mentorship to ensure every patient receives world-class care. When he’s off the clock, Joel swaps his clinic gear for travel gear, enjoying trips to Disneyland, staying active, and passionately rooting for the Baltimore Ravens.
